In 2018 I had the opportunity to meet the most incredible women from around the world as a fellow in the first Vital Voices Engage Fellowship, and to spend a whole year focussing on political leadership, with two in-person courses in Florence and at Harvard Kennedy School.

While our contexts in our home country varied a lot, there were so many commonalities in our experiences, and we had so much to share with each other and gained so much from the incredible people we learnt from, including Marshall Ganz and three female prime ministers. The lessons and the friendships will carry us through the rest of our political lives and beyond, and I hope I get to see the fellows in person again one day not just online!

This year, Vital Voices has combined the public leadership focus from the Engage fellowship with a social entrepreneur focus, bringing them together under one banner as the Vital Voices Global Fellowship.
